Pioneer State High School is the third largest secondary school in Mackay with a population of around 900 students and over 80 teaching and support staff. It is located in the tropical northern suburbs, servicing the residential communities of Andergrove, Beaconsfield, Eaglemount Heights, Slade Point and the Northern Beaches. Pioneer prides itself on the contribution it makes through the achievement of “quality educational outcomes for all students in a positive, caring, learning community”.
