HEALTH CAREERS DAY
Students in Years 11 and 12 who are interested in a health career are advised that Qld Health will be holding a Health Careers Day at Mackay TAFE on Tuesday 7 April. Please see the Guidance Officer for an application form if you are interested. Applications close on 24 March.
OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS AND WORK PLACEMENT
Structured Work Placement is coming up for students after the Easter holiday.
To help with Work Placements, the school is offering some important opportunities.
- General Safety Induction for the Construction Industry (essential if wanting Work Placement with any construction company)
Cost: $35.00 (payable to the Accounts office at school)
Payment date: Wednesday 25 March
Course Date: Thursday 2 April
Venue: PSHS Library MA2
- Responsible Service of Alcohol (for those wanting to work in a place where they will be required to serve alcohol)
Cost: $65 (payable to the Accounts office at school)
Payment date: Thursday 12 March
Course date: Thursday 19 March
Venue: PSHS Library MA2
- Blue Card for Working with Children (for those wanting to work in the childcare industry or in other jobs with children such as sports coaching, etc
