Student Leadership
In Year 11 and 12, students can apply to become a Senior Leader by outlining their leadership credentials. After the Year 11 leadership camp in October, students and teachers elect the School Captains and Vice-captains, and also the Island Captains. A group of responsible senior leaders are appointed as Year 8 Care Counsellors, working with Year 8 students as role models.
A representative Student Council consists of representatives from each year level in two tiers - a Junior Council of Years 8, 9 and 10; and a Senior Council of Years 11 and 12. The Student Council represents student opinion, organises fundraising and completes projects to benefit students.
